Get creative with ASCCA! We’re holding a monthly Photography Competition and a quarterly Creative Writing Competition for members. Themes will be announced in each eNews—email your entries to competitions@ascca.org.au and join the fun!

These fun, friendly competitions are a wonderful way for members to get creative, share their talents, and connect with others across our ASCCA community.


Quarterly Creative Writing Competitions 2025/26

Held once each quarter, we’ll provide a writing prompt or theme. Members will have plenty of time to draft and submit their stories, poems, or reflections.

Word limit is 500.  Email entries to competitions@ascca.org.au  and include your name, ASCCA Club and the title of your entry.

Monthly Creative Digital Photography Competitions

Entries open on the first of each month from September 2025 – August 2026, closing on the 25th of each month

Each month, we’ll announce a new theme in the eNews. Members can submit their entries by emailing their photographs to competitions@ascca.org.au. Remember to include your name, ASCCA Club, the title of your photo and the month you’re entering it in.

These topics are meant to broaden your capabilities and improve your confidence in using the software at your disposal. We are looking for originality in work that you have compiled yourself.

Competition FAQs

What if I miss the entry deadline.

The entry date and closing dates are mandatory – no changes there.

What if I submit more entries than the number allowed.

Anything over the limit will be deleted. So choose wisely and send your best efforts.

What if I have a query

Email your query to: competitions@ascca.org.au

Do all my entries have to be submitted on the same date?

Email them any time before the closing date. Remember to include your name, ASCCA Club and the title of each work.

Will I get an evaluation of my work?

Judges willing, yes.
