Each year ASCCA run a series of competitions to encourage projects to inspire and encourage all of our members’ members to try to use new and emerging technologies in fun, creative and expressive ways!

The ASCCA Competitions 2023 are shaping up to be the most exciting yet, with three dynamic categories to choose from: Poetry, Creative Writing, and Creative Digital Photography. To ensure a fair and successful competition, it is important to familiarise yourself with the guidelines for each category, which can be found linked in the button for each category.

Each entry you make will earn a point for your club, and at the end of the competition, the club with the greatest number of points will be recognised at this year’s National Conference in October.

Poetry will be the first category to run, replacing the previous category of Multimedia. As you plan your entry, take your time to consider your approach and make sure it aligns with the guidelines. If you have any questions, Susan is available to assist and can be reached through the contact information provided at the bottom of the guidelines.

So, put your creative hat on, grab your camera, digital pen or keyboard, and get ready to enter the ASCCA Competitions 2023! Good luck to all participants, and may the best entries win!

Creative Writing Competition 2023

The six categories include enough scope and a broad enough explanation to allow for a range of entrants with a wide range of skills and imagination to confidently enter any category. Creative Digital Photography Competition 2023

Entries open 15th September and close at midnight on 30th September 2023.

The approach this year is on creativity and interpretation of the categories. Photographic technical ability is still important but not more important than the creative interpretation of the subject. Considering both will allow all entrants to show their abilities. The seven categories include enough scope and a broad enough explanation to allow entrants with a wide range of skills and imagination to confidently enter any category. All entries are to be submitted by the individual photographer who is permitted to present one photograph, to a maximum size of 4MB in each category, taken between 2nd September 2021 and 15th September 2022. No post camera manipulation will be permitted — except minor cropping, straightening and exposure adjustments.
