In July 2000 at a meeting for Campbelltown Seniors Issues Group the first steps were taken towards forming a computer club for seniors in the Campbelltown area. On October 2000 a steering Committee formed; meetings were held; letters sent asking for support and door knocks were carried out seeking use of premises and interested people. January 2001 office bearers were elected. Australian Seniors Computer Association contacted for advice and support. Received offer of two second hand computers. Further meetings and requests for support; including encouragement from Campbelltown City Council management and Campbelltown Catholic Club Management. Met with Deputy Mayor Fred Borg and support and encouragement were received. March 2001 unanimously agreed that once up and running the computer club would work independently of the Campbelltown Seniors issue Group. April 2001 approval to application of Ageing and Disability Department for Approximately $15,000 received. Campbelltown City Council provides temporary premises at 31 Broughton Street. Council offers further support by way of superseded computers and assistance with renovations at premises in Broughton Street. In April 2008; with the assistance of council; we have now moved into new premises at 12 Lithgow Street Campbelltown.
