A Current Affair - Seniors Card App

The NSW Minister for Ageing, John Ajaka, and Kathryn Greiner AO, from the Advisory Council on Ageing, choose ASCCA to assist in the launching the NSW Seniors Card App.

The video here was created by Channel 9 in early March 2014. It shows ASCCA staff demonstrating the app to volunteers from seniors computer clubs in the ASCCA Learning Centre in Pitt St.

The free app is available in the Google Play Store for Android, and in the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad. Be aware that this is a phone app when seaching in these stores, but it works on tablets as well.

At the moment, the app can find places near you that offer discounts to Seniors card holders. The app will evolve to include other features to benefit seniors. It can be used as a supplement to, or replacement for, the printed Seniors Card discount book.

In April, Nine's A Current Affair again featured the Seniors Card App in some more detail with the assistance of ASCCA volunteers.
