ASCCA was at the Seniors Concerts and hosted a free Share the Shoebox Forum. Click here find out all about it.
The Seniors Week Expo
On 17 and 18 March ASCCA had an information booth at the NSW Seniors Week Expo held with the Premier's Gala Concerts in the foyer of the Qantas Credit Union Arena. This was generously provided free for us by Seniors Week.
We gave out hundreds of flyers and, if people asked where they could go to learn, we wrote the details of a nearby club for them. Hopefully clubs will notice an increase in enquiries due to our work.

|Meet Your Ancestors Forum
This Forum on 20 March was designed to inspire people to find out more about their ancestors. With more information being made available online, and improvements to family tree software, the task is becoming easier every year. We hope this forum had something for both the beginner and the proficient researcher.
Each person received a 36 page book full of tips and advice especially written for the occasion. Copies of this unique book are available for purchase here

Seniors Hub at the Easter Show
On 31 March and 1 April, Telstra, Seniors Card and NSW Family and Community Services ran a Seniors Hub at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. ASCCA volunteers assisted with giving out showbags and the Telstra photo competition. There was also lots of time to talk to seniors, make them aware of them benefits of ASCCA club membership and give them details of a local club.
ASCCA hosted three days of highly successful free events: On Thursday 21st March, the 'Seniors Explore Technology' Expo attracted close to 100 seniors to hear the informative talks and browse the interesting information stalls. On Wednesday 20th and Friday 22nd, over eighty seniors attended eight free technology workshops. Our events were supported by the NSW government's Ageing Disability and Home Care agency.
