Each year ASCCA run a series of competitions to encourage projects to inspire and encourage all of our members’ members to try to use new and emerging technologies in fun, creative and expressive ways!
We had three categories for our Annual Competitions for 2022, the ever-popular Photography competition, Creative Writing and the brand new, Multimedia Journals this year.
And what an exciting competition we had this year!
All our entrants were winners in that they took the time and trouble to enter.
Thank you to all who took time to make it such a success.
Multimedia
In the Multimedia Section there were 17 entries from three clubs.
Creative Writing
Creative Writing competition attracted 31 entries from five clubs.
Digital Photography
Eight clubs participated in the Photography competition achieving 160 points for their clubs. Altogether that makes 201 entries over all.
Champion club in 2022 was Newcastle with an outstanding 97 club points. Every entry gets one point for their club. I always keep club points earned as a separate count not adding winners points because they are personal.
In 2023 we will stop Multimedia and implement one for the poets amongst your club members. They have waited long enough!
Many entrants did win an award and that’s an amazing outcome and shows that we had a high standard and varied entries. It was fierce!!
The competitions are held to assist clubs in teaching their members to try new things. It also creates a camaraderie amongst their members. Thanks to our six judges for their expert deliberations and for the feedback they provided which will assist members in their endeavours to improve for next year.
Your competition coordinator wishes every one of you a joyous Christmas and a healthy New Year with lots more entries anticipated for 2023.
