The Club was formed in August 2001 under ASCCA guidelines with 43 members to assist local seniors to learn about computers in a relaxed and friendly environment at minimal cost. Club volunteer trainers have developed senior specific training courses in 12 computer related subjects. Courses vary from 3 to 8 sessions; each of 2.5 hour duration; each session being conducted on a predetermined weekday morning or afternoon. Subjects covered are: Introduction; Word processing; Internet; Email; Spreadsheets; Desktop publishing; PowerPoint; Digital photography; Genealogy; CD Burning; Greeting cards; Scrapbooking. The Club holds a general meeting commencing at 10 am on the last Monday of each month - excepting for December. Membership of the Club is extended to all eligible seniors residing in the Macarthur region. Membership at beginning of 2013 is 230.
