Walpole Community Resource Centre is in the top ten percent of Resource Centres in the WA Resource Centre Network. The Centre has also won a State Award and was a finalist in a National Award. The success of the Centre has been due to the dedication of the management committee; staff and volunteers who work so diligently to ensure the on-going viability of the Centre. The CRC has been particularly strong in the areas of innovative and creative marketing; training and supporting Volunteers and community capacity building. Walpole CRC built new premises in 2005 with grant funding and extensive extensions were made in 2010 with Royalties for Regions funding. It has developed to become an essential and vital hub in the district owning the local news: Walpole Weekly. It was instrumental in establishing Walpole
