Chinese Delegation in Foyer

ASCCA was invited by the Australian Human Rights Commission, to host a Study Visit on the Rights of Older Persons through the China-Australia Human Rights Technical Cooperation Program (HRTC) on behalf of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The delegation from China was led by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and took place at ASCCA’s Training Rooms on the 15th April 2015.

David Bennett gave a presentation showing the role of ASCCA in promoting the successful and enjoyable use of technology by seniors through our ASCCA Clubs, along with advocacy on behalf of Australian seniors.

Diane Brentnall presented a great lesson with 10 happy and keen students. Their participation and willingness to answer questions was very much appreciated by the delegates from China.

Board Members: Jim Parker , Annette Stuckey and Alwyn Stuckey were also on hand to answer questions and offer hospitality on behalf of ASCCA. Gifts were exchanged and ASCCA received a beautiful hand-made carving with fine embroidery.
